Fluffies - Shipsterns Bluff

TAS, South & East Coasts

Suicidal rock ledge thought by many to be Australia's heaviest wave.Best Conditions: Is said to hold 20 foot plus with winds from the North, but don't even consider it, one in 100 could consider it.

Break type: Reef
Location: Isolated
Offshore wind direction: North,North easterly
Swell direction: South Westerly
Swell size: Large, Massive
Surfer Level: Advanced
Surf board type : Short Board
Best Tide : Medium
Crowd Level : Few locals

Getting There : Almost as hard as riding it. The only way is through networking with Hobart based surfers. It’s way South, a long walk or boat ride into a land of cold, high cliffs.

Dangers : Looks six foot... is actually 15 foot and as thick as Teahupoo.

Rumours : This whole place was a rumour until pictures of it went across the globe in 2001. Oh yeah, a mothership noah lives here too... of course.

Others : In all seriousness, this place could kill you... don’t even think about it unless the big wave hellmen of the world phone you for advice.
