BackHey Michael Damn that sounds like a great trip. While these arent the prime months, youll also be able to get some great uncrowded and hopefully perfect waves. Also in winter in some of the southern areas it gets too much swell so it can be a good time for some regions. As a bit of a general rule you will want to stick to the southern parts of the coast and avoid the desert. This is due to the onshores that can hit pretty early because the land heats up very quickly. SA Not sure where in SA you are starting, but I would head to Little Dip Nat Park just outside Robe. There are some classic waves in here but you will need a decent 4wd and make sure you have a shovel because you will get bogged. Youll miss the school holidays so you should get some class waves here to yourself. From here I would head to Innes Nat Park at the tip of the Yorke Peninsula. Theres a huge variety on offer and Pondalowie gets bloody good. Make sure you have your fishing gear as the salmon could be running. There are a couple of spots at the tip of the Eyre peninsula and you could always got to Kangaroo Island. Plenty of Noahs though and in SA as you would probably know you dont want to be completely alone surfing some of the more remote spots WA Once across the desert I would hit the national parks east of Esperane. Start with Cape Le Grand, it gets pretty good and great camping. Its a bit fickle but you will be doing some great exploring in beautiful country and if you get it on, its worth it. Then head west and there are plenty of spots. Ocean Beach in Denmark is a great spot but can get crowded, I would be getting to the SW of WA quickly. Thats where you are gong to find some pretty epic waves. It will be crowded at the well known breaks, but there are plenty of spots down there. Check through the website for a more deatiled overview. Def stay at Yallingup caravan park and do some exporing from there. You will get waves out the front and might get it uncrowded at that time. Wortwhile checking out Mammoth cave on caves rd. I wouldnt really venture N of Perth as the onshores I was talking about can get pretty brutal. Good Luck
